Massa ponders what went wrong for him & Ferrari

Going into the sixth leg of the Formula One season and Felipe Massa on the back of another disappointing finish for him and Kimi last weekend in Spain, the Brazilian has conceded that Ferrari’s bid for the Formula One championship has all but ended.

He was quoted on Ferrari slim chances of still battling back, “I don’t think this year. Maybe next year, we have so many problems to solve. After five races, Brawn’s won four, how can you fight? Even if you improve the car massively, they’re still going to score points. I feel a bit frustrated for sure. After great qualifying, a great race, we lost a great opportunity to score big points.”

To know how bad is Ferrari is doing, well this is their first time ever in 16 years that they have failed to get to the podium, and Massa finished sixth at the Spanish Grand Prix, it took him five races to pick up his first ever Championship points.

Team principal Stefano Domenicali however didn’t share Massa’s sentiments, “Basically there is a lot of pain. That is the feeling that we have now. At this stage, we need to make sure that the people who have a responsibility in all of the areas do the maximum job that they can do. I need people to react.”

The massive Ferrari fans must be truly disappointed and I reckon let this be the constructor ‘training wheel’ years. There’s always next year eh.
