Lotus returns to the F1 grid in 2010

Ever since their departure from Formula One since 1994, Lotus will return to the F1 grid in 2010.

The return was made possible through a partnership between the Malaysian government and a consortium of Malaysian entrepreneurs.

Cosworth has agreed to supply the Lotus team with the engines, while Mike Gascoyne, an experienced former F1 veteran who has been with teams such as Force India, Toyota, Renault and Jordan will spearhead the team as technical director.

So far Lotus has not announced their drivers’ line-up, and will likely do so next month.
