Ron Dennis denies claims of F1 return![]() Ron Dennis F1 return Ron Dennis handed over the reign as McLaren’s team principal on April 16th earlier this year to Martin Whitmarsh. And now there has been rumors that the 62 year old would return after an appearance to the paddock recently in Abu Dhabi last month fueled the rumor even more. But Ron Dennis has denies any claims of a return as he is content at establishing McLaren’s new production sports cars division. It is believed Ron Dennis parted ways as part of a deal with Max Mosley over McLaren’s involvement in the espionage controversy that saw McLaren’s chief designer Mike Coughlan accused of obtaining confidential Ferrari technical data from Ferrari’s chief engineer Nigel Stepney. Even Martin Whitmarsh has confirmed the statement.
