Ron Dennis Quits McLaren
F1 Team McLaren team principal Ron Dennis has announced his departure from the UK based racing outfit. Martin Whitmarsh, current chief executive officer of Team McLaren will take over. The 61 year old would have quit earlier, if not persuaded otherwise back in 2007. The Woking born lad was in-charge when Hamilton fail to win the drivers’ title back in 2007 despite leading 17 points at one time. He was also at the helm, when the team was fined some $100 million dollar for possessing confidential Ferrari documents. Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton was shocked of the news, which was told to him minutes before Ron Dennis press announcement. Ron Dennis was responsible for grooming a potential 10 year old karting champion to world beater, Lewis Hamilton. We wish you all the best Dennis.
