Former F1 star, now an amputee eyes Paralympics gloryAlex Zanardi who once drove for F1 teams such Jordan, Minardi, Lotus, and Williams is now eying a spot at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. The former F1 driver had a horrific accident which resulted in the amputation of both his legs in 2001. Since then he has return to competition albeit not behind a wheel, but in the form of handbiking, a form of paralympic cycling. If successful Zanardi will represent Italy at the Paralympics.
