Jenson Button visits McLaren factory, fuels rumor he’s abandoning Brawn GP![]() Who knows ... you might just see Jenson Button in a different team outfit next year It seems that Jenson Button and his manager Richard Goddard had a visit to McLaren’s headquarters at Woking. During the visit, the duo was given a personal tour by McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh. This move of course fuels rumor of a move by Button to the McLaren camp. Reports have even suggested that Button would even seal the deal as early as next week. Of course this all could be a ploy by Button to increase his value in the eyes of Brawn GP, who refuses to meet his £6m wage demand. Brawn GP have told Jenson Button that he needed to take a voluntary pay cut of over 50 per cent, from £8 million to £3 million, for the next season if he wants to stay with the team. The Brackley team of Brawn GP did however state the deal could be done which would allow the driver more freedom to negotiate personal deals. Well all I can say is that McLaren offer is much more lucrative, and I wouldn’t be surprised if next year McLaren’s line-up consist of two World Champion, Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton.
