Lewis Hamilton fastest on last day of testing at Barcelona![]() Lewis Hamilton fastest in Barcelona McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton snatched a psychological boost by being the fastest on the last day of testing in Barcelona, as F1 approaches its season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on March 14th. The young Brit clocked the fastest time ever in the four days of testing day by the drivers, with a time of 1 minute 20.472 seconds. He was just a fraction faster than Red Bull’s Mark Webber, who was close behind in second place himself, with a time of 1 minute 20.496 seconds. With less than half a second between the fastest eight drivers, it goes to show the top teams means business, and that can only mean good things for the spectators as everyone are on equal footing, and it all boils down to race skills for the win when the race begins. From the pre-season testing so far, Ferrari leads the pack, followed by Red Bull, McLaren and Mercedes with Williams and Sauber trailing behind.
