Nico Rosberg signs for Mercedes GP

The young German, Nico Rosberg has confirmed his seat for Mercedes Grand Prix in 2010.

With a solid and consistent 2009 season where he scored in almost every race and qualifying in the top 10, Mercedes GP has announced their first driver.

Ross Brawn, the team principal for the team says, “I had the pleasure of working with his father, Keke, during his Formula 1 career, and it is great to see Nico following in his footsteps. We look forward to seeing his development continue with us at Mercedes next year.”

Keke Rosberg is Nico’s father where the Finnish was 1982 Formula 1 world champion. Let’s hope some of his racing genes rubs off Nico eh.

Mercedes have yet to announced their second driver, and its reputed that it will a toss between Nick Heidfeld and Michael Schumacher.
