Robert Kubica Forms His Own Karting Team
Polish F1 driver for BMW Sauber, Robert Kubica started at a young age being behind the wheels. He was just four when he got his first mini four wheel off-road vehicle, before moving on to karting. There he developed his skills for speed and was the first foreigner to win the International Italian Junior Karting Championship back in 1998. And it seems the 24 year old is giving back to karting, where he now owns his own karting team. In collaboration with manufacturer Birel, team ‘Kubica’ kart will take part and compete in international karting events with him as management role. It is however not known how his new role will affect his F1 career, but its all good eh. Sounds like a nice chap! Posted January 3rd, 2009 in Drivers by unclesha. |
