Ahead of the weekend German Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel got a big warm welcome from his home town fans as he drove in the streets of Heppenheim, Germany.

There were closed-off roads for the RB6 car to demonstrate its raw power, and giving Vettel’s home town folks a taste of F1.

Wow the fans sure really got up close looking by the videos above. You won’t see that here in Singapore, as the organisers are safety-conscious here, and wants to cover their ass if any accidents were to happen.

Vettel was quoted, “It’s nice that so many people back us, back me and back the team. And for Hockenheim too it couldn’t look better. I think it was a great day today and the entire city was happy. Thank you again. A lot of people helped, who might not have been that visible, but every one of them contributed to this beautiful day today.”
