2. Entertainment Within Singapore
Here’s my take on Singapore entertainment, on what to do, what to eat and such. But expect prices to be marked up for some outlets. Prices would be slightly higher than the below suggested prices that I’ve indicated for F1 period. Capitalist at work :)
Local Food Cuisines
Singapore is a multi-ethnic country with the large proportion of Singapore’s population is Chinese. Expect Chinese Cuisine to be in wide variety. Do try the Indian Cuisine and Malay Cuisine too. You must also have a taste of the popular Peranakan Cuisine which is a hybrid blend of Chinese & Malay cuisine. Singapore food are mostly spicy, so if you’re not up for it, order few glasses of drinks. Don’t miss trying the unique Hawker Food and yes we do have world class restaurants if you want some fancy settings
Clubbing
Local cover charges range from $15 to $30. It comes with one drink with the cover charge and most of the crowd usually starts rolling in near to midnight
Movies
Got plenty of time to spare, join the Singaporeans favourite pastime of watching movies. Tickets are price around $8-9 depending on which cinema you’re at. Movie latest screenings are usually held around midnight, perfect timing if you’re just finish going to the F1 and have nothing to do. There’s a 24 hour cinemas at Orchard Cineleisure on Fridays & Saturdays. It’s only few MRT trains away from the F1 circuit
