The British Grand Prix F1 race will go on![]() British Grand Prix Silverstone The British Grand Prix next year was nearly on the brink on being struck-off the F1 calendar, but the circuit owner and Bernie Ecclestone finally agreed on undisclosed terms and the Silverstone race has been saved. The news will be officially announced next week, and the agreement finally lay a long standing tension and uncertainty for the English Formula One leg, after Donington circuit failed to come up with funds. Enters Silverstone again as a back-up plan, but the £12 million annual fee offered was not enough it seems, and Silverstone was unwilling to meet Ecclestone’s demands. But fortunately the talks finally reached an amicable agreement for both side. The details of the contract will be revealed more this coming Monday.
