F1 new 2010 tyre rule set to change race tactics

All the Formula 1 teams have agreed on a possible new tyre ruling.

The new ruling enforces that drivers need to start races on the same tyres that they qualified on.

This move will of course result in new tactics employed by teams, and how they will approach qualifying.

Teams will then likely to decide on to gamble on running a less quick tyre so as to have a better chance in the race, or give it all for the qualifying spot and hang on for dear life during the race.

The Sporting Working Group agreed to the change, although the ruling has not been officially added to the regulation, only after Formula 1 Commission and the World Motor Sport Council approves of it.
