Team Principals say Sebastian Vettel the ‘F1 Best Driver of 2009′![]() Sebastian Vettel vs Jenson Button I was reading AutoBlog’s entry of POLL POSITION: Who was the Best F1 Driver of 2009? Team Principals say Vettel, and their findings is that Sebastian Vettel is the better driver ahead of world champion Jenson Button. Their conclusion was based on “Autosport magazine asked each of the team principals in Formula One to anonymously rank who they thought was the best driver, awarding race points to their top ten choices.”.
Aside from the article, if you disagree with the conclusion, there’s a poll for you to vote your choice of the driver of the season. For me personally, Jensen Button was great in the first half of the season due to the innovative diffuser invention by the Brawn technical people. He’s a competent driver and combined with a fast car, he notched up the wins. While Vettel and RedBull had to play catch-up, but was still grinding a more consistent result despite the lack in hardware to keep pace with Brawn. So yeah I’d say Vettel is the better driver than Button for me, but I voted for Rubens Barrichello actually. When everyone thought he was a goner, at the age of 37 years old, the Brazilian proved to his critics he still got it. Who do you think is ‘F1 Best Driver of 2009′?
