F1 emergency meeting to be held at airport, over controversial proposed budget capThe next season F1 proposed $60 million budget cap has most of the Formula One teams up in arms and threatening to quit. The list of teams that protested the new budget cap includes Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Toyota. And the teams that in favor of a reduced budgets are Brawn GP, Williams and Force India. Well all this drama is indeed making headlines more than usual and the future of F1 is very much uncertain next year. The deadline for next year’s championship entries is on May 29th by the way. I reckon there should be an amicable compromise between Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the constructors, or we the fans stand to lose a legacy of F1 racing over financial deadlocks. The talks starts Friday tomorrow, as Max Mosley has requested an emergency meeting between F1 teams and FIA. Bernie Ecclestone will be there too and the meeting will take place at Heathrow airport.
