Jenson Button and his former boss Ross Brawn honored in Monaco

The annual gala held in Monaco saw the new McLaren driver, Jenson Button and his former Brawn GP boss Ross Brawn being officially presented with their world championship trophies.

The silverware for drivers’ and constructors’ titles were awarded in a prestigious ceremony where Button gave a glowing tribute to his former boss and team.

Button was quoted, “This has been a fantastic year for myself and Brawn GP. Just 23 days before the start of the season, we didn’t even know if we would be at the first race and now I am the world champion with the team winning the constructors’ championship. Everyone at the team deserves our success so much.”

Other awards includes the second and third place trophies for Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Brawn’s Rubens Barrichello respectively.

The Race Promoters’ Trophy was awarded to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which saw an excellent twilight race.

Formula One Management (FOM) took the Television Trophy for its outstanding coverage of the event.
