Formula One in 2010 has possible five new constructor entriesOooh looks like we’ll have an array of potential new teams joining Formula One next season. We have Lola, Litespeed which is currently in Formula 3, Prodrive, USF1 and iSport, who are all interested to join F1. As for GP2 team iSport International, they’re all set for F1 as they’re now in discussion with potential sponsors and investors. Of course all teams have up to May 29th to sign-up and such teams are required to cough-up £40 million to boot. The new teams participation of course hinges on today’s Formula One Team’s Association (FOTA) meeting with the current F1 constructor teams, as Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Toyota are opposed with the proposed $60 million budget cap. Let’s just hope there’s an amicable solution for all, as I do really want to see more teams and drivers on the grid.
Indeed I do watch and support F1 mainly because of the drivers and in particular iSport is lining up to sign up the talented young Bruno Senna; nephew of late three-time Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna. Let’s hope that happens eh. Posted May 15th, 2009 in Formula One by unclesha. |
