India GP likely to debut in 2011
Bernie Ecclestone, President and CEO of Formula One Management and Formula One Administration had dampen the mood of millions of Indians F1 fans, as they their hopes to host their own F1 Grand Prix at New Delhi was to be delayed by a year It is reported Ecclestone wants the opener which was planned for 2010, to be extended up to 2011. He did not comment on the exact reasoning but put it as “these things take time” India plan to host its own GP started as back as 2007. It can only do so under Ecclestone’s condition that India build a new track circuit when he gave the green lights It looks like India has to take a backseat now to Abu Dhabi (2009), South Korea (2010) and possibly USA (2010 maybe Las Vegas) |
