McLaren denies Ron Dennis retirement
Ron Dennis the chairman, CEO and partial owner of the McLaren Group and also the team principal of the McLaren Formula One team, has it there’s a rumor he will quit at the end of this season But the McLaren spokesperson quickly responded and has denied such claims that Ron Dennis will retire from his F1 post at the end of the 2008 season The 61 year old was quoted in a recent magazine interview as saying “If I do step back, I want to do it with a title” McLaren spokesperson also added the quote was an ‘old’ one and was taken out of context and that Ron Dennis and McLaren are committed to the current and future Formula One season, improving the F1 car at every stage and preparing it also for upcoming year 2009 where there will be sweeping changes to the F1 The Briton has been instrumental in transforming the McLaren team in winning F1 constructors’ and drivers’ world championships for Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen Posted August 8th, 2008 in Formula One by unclesha. |
