FIA, the world motorsport body has revised again the F1 calendar for next year. This is to take into account the cancellation of French GP, the axed Canadian GP and the debut of Abu Dhabi GP.
The old calendar was trimmed from 18 to 17 races in total, starting from 26th March and ends earlier in the calendar, which is 1st November.
The GP dates changes applies to six Grand Prix location, China, Bahrain, Japan, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
China GP was moved all the way from to the front (17 – 19 March). It was held previously during October period. Also there’s changes by a week plus or so for the rest of the GP as mentioned earlier.
Singapore GP will still be the only F1 night race for next season and there won’t be any North America races. Australia and Malaysia GP will start their races at 5pm local time.
Expect new ruling of F1 engines to last three races next season and the much anticipated single engine configurations which is to even out the playing field amongst the F1 teams. These are plans by FIA to cut down cost in the financially bloated F1 racing industry.
