Singapore F1 to use super-soft compunds tyres
The Japanese company Bridgestone, the sole tyre supplier for the F1 has announced yesterday that they will provide super-soft and soft tyre compounds for the Singapore F1 leg. Only twice in this season of racing such super-soft compounds tyres has been used. Once in Monaco GP (22-25 May) and the other Canada GP (6-8 June) The Bridgestone spokesperson was quoted “This will be the first time for Formula One in Singapore and we will bring the soft and super soft compounds for this interesting new street course” Bridgestone is the sole supplier for Formula One from 2007 to 2010. Michelin, Bridgestone’s only rival, ended their participation in Formula One after the 2006 season Tyres are supplied in accordance with the revised Sporting Regulations. A total of 14 sets of dry weather tyres per driver over the race weekend: 4 sets for Friday, and 10 for the rest of the days. During the race, both compounds of tyre (hard and soft) have to be used at least once during the race Tyre compounds for F1 season 2008:
