Silverstone adds 760m to its track![]() The 'new' Silverstone circuit for 2010 On 11 February 2010, it was announced that the British Grand Prix would use the “Arena” circuit configuration, thus increasing the track’s length by 760 metres. The rest of the old track would still be used, but the new addition is the “Arena” circuit configuration after Abbey corner. More of Silverstone upgrades include a new paddock and pit area slated for next year. The British Grand Prix moved back to Silverstone after Donington Park wasn’t able to host the race after the bidding failure. The 2010 British Grand Prix is scheduled for the 11th July.
