Ferrari wants full inquiry into Lewis Hamilton for his European Grand Prix antics![]() Ferrari wants full inquiry into Lewis Hamilton The race in Valencia sure kicks up a storm, and I reckon it’s just starting as the F1 constructors, especially Ferrari who feels they’re the most affected. After the big crash of Mark Webber and Kovalainen, the safety car was brought out. The rule says no car should overtake the safety car once its out, but it seems Lewis Hamilton pushed the boundary, and made it in such a way that it’s hard to define over his actions. He was on par with safety car as it came out of the pits, and technically he was slightly behind it when both car converge onto the circuit, but afterward he zoomed past it as I reckon his rationale is that his top end speed at that time was much faster than the safety car. With that he was in the clear with no obstruction and gain more lead. By now the safety car was behind him, and he ‘pushed’ Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso behind the safety car. Even though Lewis Hamilton was given a drive-through penalty for his overtaking antics, Ferrari still feels it’s not enough. They felt they had obeyed the rules, but was punished in terms of race outcome, while those who didn’t obey the rule got off to lightly and valuable Championship points. Lewis Hamilton finished second at the European Grand Prix, while Fernando Alonso finished eight. Posted June 29th, 2010 in Europe by unclesha. |
