Korean International Circuit construction near completion![]() Korean International Circuit Korea is set to be the 17th leg for this season F1 Championship, and the Korean International Circuit which is under construction is said to be near completion. The contractors have promised that the final phase of the development will be done in July, and everything is following to plan. The Korean Grand Prix promoters has also assured that the newly built circuit is 80 per cent complete. Backed by South Korea’s Central Government, and the Government of South Jeolla Province, where the circuit is built, the Grand Prix will be held from October 22-24th.
The Korea International Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, will have a dual structure, whereby the 5.615km track, will include elements of a street and F1 circuit. It also has a 1.2km straight, and a shorter, permanent circuit of 3.045km. Posted June 16th, 2010 in Korea by unclesha. |
