Button crowned new King of Monaco GP

The new king of Monaco GP

The new king of Monaco GP

Last year Monaco GP was won by a Briton, Lewis Hamilton, but the defending champion went home disappointed again with a 12th place finish.

This year it was again another Briton who won it, Jensen Button replaced Hamilton as the other Briton on the podium for today’s Monaco GP.

The Brawn GP driver took the chequered flag and is crowned the new king of Monte Carlo circuit. It was superb driving from the new king, leading from start to finish.

It was also Brawn GP’s third one-two finish of the season with Rubens Barrichello finishing second, some 7.6secs behind Button.

A surprised resurgent of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen took his deserved third spot, and Felipe Massa was fourth, and with that the Italian team climbed up the constructors points to fourth with 17 points.

RedBull’s Mark Webber finished fifth with Nick Rosberg sixth for Williams.

Next leg for the Formula One heads to Turkey, 5-7th June. Get your F1 tickets and packages before its too late!
