A possible street route layout of Rome Grand Prix

Looks like F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has has made another scoop by as reports are saying that the Rome Grand Prix is a possibility in 2012, as the earliest of date.

The street race will be similar to the Monaco Grand Prix, where it will be held in Italy’s capital.

Now Italy has two races, one in Monza circuit, and another in the streets of Rome.

The official statement from the course planner Maurizio Flammini was, “The agreement with Bernie Ecclestone to bring the Rome Grand Prix to life has already been done and signed. The appropriate course still has to be defined.”

Details of the cost, or street track layout has not been disclosed.
