Hamilton victorious in Singapore

Lewis Hamilton wins Singapore Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton wins Singapore Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton redeemed himself at the Singapore Grand Prix by winning it from pole to finish.

Hamilton made amends for his Monza mishap earlier this month by finishing ahead of Toyota’s Timo Glock.

He ended the night race with a time of 1:56:06.337, some nine seconds clear of Glock, for his second Grand Prix win of the season.

Hamilton was quoted, “It was a very, very tough race. I got a good start and I just managed to bridge a big enough gap. I have to say a big thank you to my team for doing a great job as always.”

Third spot was occupied by Fernando Alonso, and fourth was Sebastian Vettel, who was disappointed at his drive-through penalty which probably dented his Singapore GP podium placement.

Current drivers Championship leader Jenson Button was quiet the whole night, and was happy for his fifth place finish. With four points in the bag, he extended his lead by 15 points, with just three races to go.
