Singapore F1 Track To Be Widen
It is in the plans for parts of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix street circuit at Marina Bay area to be widened. This is so that more overtaking opportunities can be done and making the race much more exciting. It is believed the turns 1, 2 and 3 near the main grandstand will be widened. Other areas for widening consideration are Stamford corner, St Andrews Road and Turn 22. Race organisers also plans to change some of the prices on the tickets, hopefully lowering it of course. There will also be more access to the F1 area via the waterways. The race promoters in my opinion are doing a great job, and they have the recent “Motor Sport Facility of the Year” title to show for their effort, which was awarded by the Professional Motor Sport World. This new initiative, will make Singapore GP as one of the more ‘exciting’ street circuits on the F1 calender. Posted November 23rd, 2008 in Singapore by unclesha. |
