At the annual FIA Gala event held recently in Monaco saw the Singapore Grand Prix being awarded two trophies.

One for ‘Best Promoter’ and the other ‘Best Race Broadcaster’.

Singapore tycoon hotelier and the person responsible bringing F1 to Singapore, Ong Beng Seng, received the award.

He thank the entire Singapore GP team and Formula One Management.

He also mentioned the big help from Singapore Government, the Tourism Board and the Ministry of Trade and Industry whose aid in terms financially and support was immense in making F1 first ever night race a resounding success.

The Singapore F1 race has recently scooped a string of awards.

To name a few are Pioneering & Innovation Award by Autosport and Motorsport Facility of the Year by Professional Motorsport World.
