Ferrari surprise package at Spanish Grand Prix

Ferrari duo fastest in Spain

Ferrari duo fastest in Spain

To race and let alone win at the Spanish Grand Prix, you need to be in a favorable position on the grid.

I don’t know what the Ferrari mechanics did to their cars, but overnight it seems the team had a 1st-2nd fastest timing as of the final Saturday practice session.

Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen was timed at 1:20.553 and 1:20.635 respectively.

The duo were nearly half a second faster than everyone else … that sure raises eyebrows.

Well hot off their heels are 3rd-4th fastest pair from Brawn GP in the final practice session.

Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello were clocked at 1:21.501 and 1:21.163 respectively.

Home town favorite Fernando Alonso for Renault completed the top 10 with 1:21.499. Disappointing for Alonso, but he usually leave the best for last.
